Veras Web App Version versus Client Version

So, when I open my Veras - which is updated to 2.0.5.0 - through Rhino or Revit I can access the latest 2.1.0.0 Web Version within it.
→ Which Means I have access to the latest features → Right?

But when I click on the latest windows plugin available using Access it downloads an installer for 2.1.0.0

→ What does this client version add to the one I already have
→ Do I need to be on the 2.1.0.0 client despite having access to the latest WebView

Is there something I am misunderstanding?

A suggestion:
Maybe have a Running page on Access or some other location that lets users see the latest version numbers for both the Client and the Web View just for clarity.
Because right now I have to download and run the installer to make sure which version is it.

I might be missing out on a better way to understand this as well.

Yes, all current Veras releases now are referencing the web platform. As long as you are on an extension version of 2.0.2.0 or higher, you’ll have all the latest features.

It may still be a good idea to install extension updates as they come in. The team is working on Revit 2026 support and that will be an extension update. These will be a lot less frequent than they were prior to this change because the vast majority of updates happen on the web client.

If you click the Veras About button, you can see the current Extension and Web Version. There is also a hyperlink to the release notes. Here you will see all the new features listed. This is also where we would share if a new feature required an extension update.

Thankyou,
Yeah, that’s helpful.
I would check my own versions from the Veras button but just wanted to check with the actual latest release
