veras latest version

I have recently updated veras to thelatest version. i was using the old one for some time but I just keep getting horrible results nothing like what my previous version was. I am using version 6 only in the prompt tab but its editing the geometry for no reason when geometry override is 0. . is there a way to downgrade to the previous version?

@needhelp - welcome to the forum!

You should use the Render Engine Version 6 Sharp to get high detail retention. Check out the comparison below.

Render Engine Version 6 Sharp

Render Engine Version 6 (Default)

Selecting a Render Engine:

2024-11-29 - 14-03-06 - chrome

i think it works well for architectural models. but previously i was doing many furniture renders which are now not coming right even if i do version 6 sharp, it changes the shape totally with geometry override at 0

I see - do you recall which version specifically you used? We can most likely reproduce these settings in the current version by changing the render engine to “Render Engine 4”.

yes youre right. version 4 is giving me results similar to that. I hope version 4 doesnt get removed in future updates as i feel for product design it gives good results.

Also i would like to mention we tried designing a carry on luggage bag but AI wasnt able to recognize it at all on rhino so in future will this become more advanced to handle objects like this?

Ben does much more of the product development, but I’m somewhat familiar with our roadmap. I think the short answer would be yes, and no. We try to include AI models with our product that offer the highest quality and versatility, but to some extent it’s out of our control how well they’re suited to certain use cases.

We do have plans for a future feature that helps with this problem, but I’m not sure when we’ll get to it. It would allow for more control to be asserted as it relates to achieving appropriate outputs for particular industries, by heavily influencing the AI model being used. We achieved a proof of concept for this sort of thing with one client, and their specific needs.

Great! Version 4 will not be removed in the foreseeable future, as it has the most accurate linework retention. It is a bit lower quality, and that is the tradeoff there.

YES - v2 will have more control over how objects are identified, and consistency across all plugins.
