Tag Collision - Tag Bounding Box

Hey Glyph,

I am trying to tag some electrical fixtures with circuit tags, and the collision avoidance doesn’t seem to be working. Can you explain what the following errors mean?

“CropBox needs to be turned on”
and
“Failed to get Tag BoundingBox”

Ideally, we would be able to tag a circuit plan with circuit tag with collision avoidance. and ideally we would be able to make them come straight off the fixture, not at a 45 degree angle.

Thanks for your support,
Ben

Hi @bhackman,

The crop box setting of the view needs to be turned on for the annotation collision avoidance to work correctly.

If you want the tag to be placed straight off the fixture instead of at a 45-degree angle, I recommend turning off the “Annotation Collision Avoidance” setting.

I do believe i have those both enabled

@bhackman It looks like your crop view is turned off.

Derp, thanks got that now. That solved the first error, but not the second.

If possible, could you try it with a different tag family? (Ideally one that has a box geometry around the text)

Thank you

I added a masking region box into the family, and alas still not able to do the collision detection

Thank you for editing the family. If possible, can you share the family with me at: miguel@evolvelab.io
Thank you
