Import Revit into SketchUp Pro

Hi,

I’m trying to import a Revit 2025 file from the architect into SketchUp Pro using the Helix app, but I can’t figure it out. I don’t have Revit installed on my PC, so it doesn’t let me browse for the file. Is having Revit installed required for the import?

I’ve used SketchUp Studio in the past to import models, but with Revit 2025, it won’t let me import files into SketchUp 2024 (still waiting on the 2025 release). Any suggestions?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, in Revit you would click the Export Active View button on the Helix menu. This saves the view in a format that can be imported. It’s just a temporary file until you import to Sketchup.

Back in SketchUp you would click the import from Revit button on the Helix menu.

For more complex models you would want to Export the Levels from Revit and import them to SketchUp as well.
