1. How Quotas Work (The “Mix”)
Quotas are not separate buckets for videos and images; they act as a single pool of rendering units per license. You can mix and match media types until the total quota unit limit is reached.
- Exchange Rate:
- 1 Image (1k/2k) = 1 Quota Unit
- 1 Image (4k) = 2 Quota Units
- 1 Video = 0.5 Quota Units (effectively 2 videos per 1 image Quota Unit)
- Example (Pro Tier):
You get 200 Quota Units. You could generate:- 200 Images (1k/2k) OR
- 400 Videos OR
- A combination (e.g., 100 Images + 200 Videos).
2. Shared vs. Personal Quotas
Your total available quota depends on the type of licenses your organization holds and how they are assigned.
- Floating Licenses (Community Pool):
- Quotas from floating licenses are pooled together and shared among everyone in the organization.
- Quotas from multiple floating licenses, e.g. a mix of Enscape Premium, Collection, or Veras standalone are pooled together with shared access.
- Any user within the organization can draw from this pool.
- Assignment of individual floating license seats will not change quota access for any user within the organization.
- Named Licenses (Private Stash):
- Quotas from named licenses are exclusive to the specific user assigned to that license.
- Other users cannot touch this quota.
- Your Total Access:
- User Quota = (Your Assigned Named Licenses) + (Organization’s Floating Pool)
- Example: If you have a Named License (100 Quota Units) and your team has one Floating License (200 Quota Units), you personally have access to 300 Quota Units. A teammate with no named license would only see the 200 floating Quota Units.
3. Managing & Transferring Quota
- Transferring Quota Units: You cannot manually “send” Quota Units to a coworker. However, if you reassign a Named License from User A to User B, the remaining quota on that license moves with it to User B.
- Monitoring Usage: Currently, admins cannot easily view the usage of specific named licenses without logging in as that user. A reporting tool is expected in the future.
- Running Out: If a user drains their quota, they can be assigned a different license with remaining quota, or the team can buy an AI Creative Boost for a capacity increase.
