I’m using veras on a windows mashine with german language UI. As veras UI is in english and promting stable diffusion models in english should give better results I have huge problems using the prompt text areas. I can’t change the language settings to english to get english spell checking and all text is marked with red squiggly lines making reading very difficult.
Is there a way to change the spell checking language in the web app and Enscape extension
@Chris3 Thanks for sharing this issue, it’s a good point.
I believe we override the default language in the prompt input area to be English. Let us look into it and get back to you. I think we’ll have to make it an ‘option’ so it doesn’t also negatively affect users who don’t wanna set it to english.
Hi @Daniel , thank you for your reply. I believe I found a solution, at least for the web app. Not only install the englisch language support in your browser. Activate spell checking for Englisch too, hiden behind drop down section. But the Veras app, started from Escape probably brings it’s own browser engine!?
@Chris3 Yes, this was actually the first thing I tried exactly! Adding English as another language in your browser, and enabling spellcheck for English.
But, as you already noted, it only solves the problem for the web version of Veras - not Enscape, Revit, SketchUp, etc, etc. Also, as a side effect of this work-around, your web browser no longer red-underlines any words that are correctly spelled in English in any text input anywhere on the web.
Due to that last caveat, I was hesitant to suggest it as a good solution.
I did experiment with a few updates to the Veras code, thinking this would be an easy fix, but I haven’t found a good solution yet.
However feel free to keep that English-spell-check workaround if it works for you for now! We’ll keep working on this issue and let you know here if we figure out a good solution.
