I want to automate dimensioning for my casework (joinery). I have 3 separate families here, a double cupboard, 3 drawers and a benchtop (benchtop includes side panels)
I have created custom reference planes within the benchtop family as i’m wanting to create the end panel dimensions, not just the overall, which would be your Left/Right reference planes. I have ensured they match the labelling within the glyph interface, the benchtop family itself has an embedded end panel family, which both are under the family category of “casework”. I put those custom reference planes in both the embedded family, and outside of the embedded family. Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to work, it’s not picking up on these reference planes.
The glyph dimension pulls dimensioning that isn’t making too much sense to me. See snippet below. The glyph dimension in black, what i want to create in red.
